DR. JEFFREY SCHWEIN, DPM - PODIATRIST

Dr. Jeffrey Schwein graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1990 graduating as class salutatorian from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency under the direct supervision of renowned foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Raymond Suppan, in Orrville, Ohio. After his surgical residency, Dr. Schwein returned to Mansfield in June 1991 to start his practice with his father, Dr. David Schwein. The Schwein Foot & Ankle Clinic began in 1991.

Dr. Schwein resides in Ontario with his wife, Carla, and his daughter, Taylor, who attends The Ohio State School of Nursing. He enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, including golf, fishing, and especially hunting. He is a core pro-staff member of the popular hunting show, “Blitz TV,” which airs on the sportsman Channel carried by the Dish Network and Direct TV.

DR. ELIZABETH WAKEFIELD, DPM, FACFAS. PODIATRIST, BOARD CERTIFIED IN FOOT SURGERY, FELLOW OF THE AMERICAN FOOT AND ANKLE SURGEONS

Elizabeth (Libby) Wakefield, DPM was born and raised in the greater Cleveland,Ohio area. Growing up, she loved to spend time performing choreographed dance, marching/jazz/concert band, horseback riding, church youth conventions, and building houses with Habitat for Humanity. She graduated Cum Laude from North Royalton High School in 2005. She enjoyed four years at The College of Wooster, where she graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular biology. She also received honors for her independent study thesis for original research in the area of diabetes and glycemic control. In 2013, she graduated from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. She moved to Columbus, Ohio, to complete a three-year podiatric medicine and surgical residency, with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, completed in 2016 at Grant Medical Center. She then moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2016, where she practiced for three years. An opportunity arose to move closer to home in arose in 2019, and she joined Schwein Foot and Ankle Clinic to put down roots in the great state of OH-IO.

Family and community are the center of her life. She married her high school sweetheart, Nathan, in 2010. They have two rescue cats, who are both full of personality and attitude. Her hobbies include crafting, baking, sewing, skiing, and hiking. She loves warm weather and beach vacations. Dr. Wakefield welcomed her son in December 2022 and loves being a mom!
